All fifty states available to put together and take apart to try again. The puzzle contains 49 pieces showing all states cut in proportion (except for Alaska) size to the other states. To eliminate a potential choking hazard for younger children and to avoid losing them, some smaller states are combined into one piece. The individual state boundaries are engraved in the combined pieces. All states are shown.
The 48 lower states measures about 16" tall x 24" long. As shown in the picture, Alaska and Hawaii DO NOT reside off the southern tip of California.
Loctite Fun-Tak Mounting Putty Tabs can be used to easily mount the pieces to any clean, dry, porous or non-porous surface. The included mounting tabs are non-toxic, repositionable and will not dry out. The mounting putty allows to move the puzzle or remove a piece, attach a picture and place back into place. The mounting putty IS NOT included.
An excellent tool for educators, parents, and grandparents to help children (and adults) learn about individual state's names and location within the United States. Games can be invented to help teach the geography of our great nation. Research why states boundaries are shaped like they are. The two letter abbreviation of each state is engraved. These have also proven to be a hit with adults as a means to identify location significant events like states visited, the location of extended family members, corporate offices, store locations, etc. Many folks have attached pictures to individual states that represent memories made in that state. When put together creates a beautiful and memorial mural. Very suitable for a display model either at home, office or at school.
NOTE: We are selling the Wood USA Map shown in the 1st picture. The other pictures show different ways the maps have been used. The maps can be used in many different ways and made into beautiful murals. We do not frame, paint, or stain the pieces before shipment unless it is a custom order. The cedar coffee table IS NOT included.
When completed, the puzzle can be painted, stained or left natural. Pieces can be glued or taped together (on the back side) to create an interesting wall display. Very suitable for a display model either at home, office or at school.
The states are made of 1/4" RevolutionPly® Lauan plywood so they are durable and repairable. The states are laser cut and the fit is exact. A perfect fit. The pieces have minimal odor, if any. The pieces are sanded to remove soot.
The islands of Hawaii are combined into one piece with each island engraved in the proper location.
